Key Responsibilities: -
- Planning and carrying out market research in order to identify new publishing ideas.
- Collaborating with the Sales and Marketing team in conducting effective market intelligence so as to identify new areas of strategic publications.
- Providing support data in growth programmes
- Preparing new title proposals in liaison with subject section heads.
- Collecting and collating relevant information drawn from analysis of various documents in the education sector, from the Government and other relevant agencies to facilitate identification of growth opportunities and long term strategic planning.
- Pretesting selected forthcoming publications to determine their market suitability.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement of the existing products so as to maintain their market competitiveness.
- Assisting with budget development and reviewing the same for accuracy before submission to the Management.
Minimum Requirements: -
- Bachelors’ degree in Social Sciences or Information Science.
- A Diploma in Research and Development Studies.
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent communication, negotiation, inter-personal relationship, team building, leadership and organizational skills.
- At least 4 years experience in research and development in a publishing environment or as Editor I.
