Post Title:
Senior Programme Officer- Sexual Reproductive Health Component
Reports to:
Component Head- Sexual Reproductive Health
Location:
Nairobi
Responsibilities:
- Management of de-central level RH activities according to the Programme Offer, the component objectives and the annual work plan ,
- Support the RH component’s initiative to provide professional advice and input to, and to cooperate with, implementing partners and relevant stakeholders, and
- Innovation and knowledge management as well as transmission of innovation to a wide range of persons
Qualifications, Requirements & Skills:
- Post graduate degree in public health or related fields
- Undergraduate degree in either health or natural sciences
- Knowledge and experience with the medical, cultural and anthropological aspects of SRH including linkages to HIV/AIDS;
- Knowledge and experience in gender and Reproductive rights issues;
- Previous experience in policy dialogue and technical advisory role;
- At least 5 years work experience in sexual reproductive health or related health programs within East Africa;
- Previous management experience in a similar program is preferred, including financial oversight/management
- Proven leadership skills and experience
- Team player with broad social skills, high inter-cultural sensitivity and good negotiation skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent command of MS-Office
